With one package of Rit Dye Powder, you can dye up to 1 pound of dry fabric, which is equivalent to two adult large t-shirts.

If you desire a darker or more intense color, simply double the dye quantity. For best results with cotton, rayon, or linen fabrics, add 1 cup of salt to the dye bath. If you're dyeing nylon, silk, or wool, add 1 cup of vinegar instead. If you're looking to lighten the existing color on most fabrics before dyeing to a lighter or different color, we recommend using the Rit Color Remover.

To ensure maximum color retention on cotton, linen, or rayon fabrics, apply the Rit Color Stay Dye Fixative immediately after dyeing.
