I do not have a high spin rate, and bowl on heavily oiled lanes and the ball still will hook from one gutter on one side of the lane to the other before getting to the pins. (Aiming to hit the right gutter from left of lane 75% way down, will almost gutter right before either guttering left or hitting pins.) -
