It is heavy but still comfortable and beautiful to wear. Keep in mind, if the band breaks, replacement bands can be ordered by calling FG Services at 1-800-842-8621. Although, one customer stated that the thin silicone band is not able to support the heavy face of the watch. Overall, customers appear to be pleased with the watch and comment on how good it looks.
