  • Întrebare: Is this product recommended for Shell Cordovan care?

    Răspuns: Before buying this cream, I reached out to the Horween Tannery in Chicago, makers of arguably the best shell cordovan on earth. They use Venetian cream exclusively on the shell products. As for the previous answer-Saphir products are decent, but they contain mink oil and they WILL darken your leathers. So go with what the actual manufacturer uses-Venetian.
  • Întrebare: I have some Chelsea boots there are upper leather but they have a little bit of a felt/ buck feel to them would this product be okay to use on that?

    Răspuns: Definitely not. Look for a suede or nubuck conditioner.
  • Întrebare: What are the ingredients?

    Răspuns: It’s proprietary. It contains waxes, oil, and cleaners (solvent).But it is water soluble; as opposed to Renovateur, which is mink oil based.

    Răspuns: It shouldn't darken the leather, however the surface condition and finish of the leather are important factors to consider before application. I'd suggest trying it out in a small area before moving to the rest of the item.

    Răspuns: Smaller size bottle (3oz vs 4oz).

    Răspuns: I have put this on a couple of small spots on my brown leather flight jacket. It did a good job where I put it on, but it seems like it would take too much of the product overall. I believe there are better choices for something the size of a leather jacket.

    Răspuns: By ‘tennis shoes’, I assume you mean white leather and not sneakers. You could use this; it is neutral. However, as the white leather wears, it will develop creases and abrasions, which would do much better with a white polish, which turns them white. Venetian has no pigment.
  • Întrebare: What color is the one that says Cordovan? Is it neutral or is it a color?

    Răspuns: It is an oxblood color, so a deep reddish brown.
  • Întrebare: Will this help rid of sticky leather?

    Răspuns: For 'sticky' leather, I recommend using a leather care product which 'Cleans, Conditions . . .' These products are found in Equine departments. Also, found in Car Care departments. My experience, and reading the Ratings/Reviews; over-spending on a leather care product proves moot. Obviously, the products are doing their job. And, with time, they will all need to be reapplied.

    Răspuns: It totally depends on the type of leather and what it is finished with. You can’t use it on any kind of suede. On smooth genuine leathers, It’s probably OK. Some leathers have a waterproof coating on them, so it may not penetrate. In that case, though, you should be able to wipe it off. I don’t know about composite (bonded) leather, which is ground up leather stuck to a polyurethane backing. I probably wouldn’t touch it; since it comes apart so easily.
