Are the hinges sturdy?
Răspuns: Since the one we purchased has only been used by our granddaughter and her younger brother for 2 years now and the case is still working properly, I don't feel that I could say anything one way or the other about the hinges continuing to work in a classroom of 8 and 9 year olds. I would tend to think that if the units were handled appropriately and not abused that the hinges should hold up just fine. -

Răspuns: No. There wasn't a book included. But the instrument itself has a beautiful, clear sound. It wasn't the 'toy' that I expected. This is an 'instrument' well worth purchasing a song book to accompany it. Hope this was helpful. -

Are the keys actual individual bells that you can remove and hold in your hand?
Răspuns: The bars themselves can be removed in order to switch out for the chromatic bars that are included. They are not intended to be removed and played as an individual bar. It is a whole Glockenspiel inside a case. You can remove the Glockenspiel from the case and place it on another surface but not the individual bars.
