The pendant is waterproof and won't tarnish or change colour, so you can wear it daily or even to the gym. The chain is plated steel, and though it is sold as nickel-free, some people with high sensitivity have had reactions to the neck chain in the past. However, replacing the neck chain is easy if needed.
