Hawke Monoculars 36310 Editorial Review
The Hawke Endurance ED Monocular is a compact and lightweight device that some found helpful when wanting to look at distant features, but was not suitable for fine detail or impromptu bird watching. The image is reported to be clear and bright, and there was no detectable chromatic aberration. However, the focus ring is stiff, making one-handed operation not possible, and the focuser has play, making focussing a bit of a chore. The eyepiece cap is not tethered, making it difficult to keep it in place, and the eye cup ring is flimsy and made of plastic. Some noticed that the image became blurrier the further in distance they looked. Price increases were also noted. Overall, it was not a great choice for people who want to use it for detailed observations, but it's ideal for people on the go.
