Discover anew the dramatic world of Emma. Emma Woodhouse is the most influential young woman in the tranquil village of Highbury, where she lives with her father. As a rich heiress, she is absolutely determined never to marry, though she entertains herself with all kinds of matchmaking attempts for her friends and acquaintances. Doing so causes a number of misunderstandings and embarrassments, to the point that Mr. Knightley, the family’s closest friend, intervenes and sharply criticizes Emma. While Emma admits her mistake and makes attempts at gradual damage control, she falls in love after all. . . .

Classics Editorial Review
The product "Emma: Illustrations by Marjolein Bastin" from the Marjolein Bastin Classics Series has garnered positive reception among readers. Many appreciate the beautiful illustrations that accompany Jane Austen's classic text, enhancing the overall experience of the novel. The artwork captures the essence of the story and transports readers into the charming world Austen created. The combination of classic literature with stunning visuals has created a unique reading experience that appeals to both Austen fans and art lovers alike. Readers frequently comment on the quality of the illustrations, noting that they are not only aesthetically pleasing but also pertinent to the themes and settings within the narrative. The book serves as both a delightful read and a visually impressive addition to one’s bookshelf. However, a few reviews mention that while the illustrations are beautiful, they might overshadow certain textual elements for some readers. This, however, seems to be a minor drawback in the shared enthusiasm for the product. Overall, "Emma: Illustrations by Marjolein Bastin" is well-received, celebrated for its ability to merge classic literature with artful representation. **
