This AC 50-220V 2000W 25A Motor Speed Controller SCR High-power Electronic Voltage Regulator Module Motor LED Dimmerswith is a line frequency phase control unit. It can be used with AC, DC motors and LED bulbs. One customer uses it to control the temperature of their soldering iron. While another customer uses it to control the speed of the angle grinder, and it broke after more than a month. One customer reported missing voltage adjustment in one unit and one started smoking at 110 volts. Another customer says it was easy to install and doesn't overheat at 220 volts 2 hp.This product cannot be used with well-pumps because it works by limiting the power available to the motor.
